Many people believe that prophets just predict the future and speak
very eloquent prayers. Those who operate as prophets have been ordained
and called by God before the time of their conception. This is why
prophets go through consecration ceremonies! Meaning the apostle (who
was once a prophet is just agreeing the man or woman of God is a
prophet)! The consecration ceremony is for the laying of hands which
allows for the impartation or activation of some of the gifts that were
already within the person but in need of being birthed out!
Jeremiah 1:5
"Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest
forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet
unto the nations!"
Jeremiah 1:10
"See, I have this day set
thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull
down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant!"
TO PULL DOWN
To pull down is to bring what or which is high down.
A prophet pulls down what is not Godly, pride, sin, evil etc.
To pull down also means to depress spirits. Depressing is lowering or reducing the activity of spirits.
TO DESTROY
To destroy is to demolish, make useless, spoil or kill.
After pulling down, a prophet destroys. S/he makes the power of Satan useless reason prophets are powerfully powered.
TO THROW DOWN
To throw down is to cause something one is holding to drop.
TO BUILD
To build is to construct, establish or cause to increase.
After pulling, throwing down and destroying, a prophet builds.
TO PLANT
To plant is to establish or institute.
A prophet admonishes, warns, directs, encourages, intercedes, teaches
and counsels. S/he brings the word of God to people and calls people to
respond.
Amos 3:7 - Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
2 Peter 1:21 - For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of
man: but holy men of God spake [as they were] moved by the Holy Ghost.
